The Spice Route
  (6 Nights & 7 Days)

Day 01 - Departure from Goa
An early departure to the airport for your flight to Cochin. Upon arrival in Cochin transfer by road to the jetty, for the short boat ride to Coconut Lagoon for 2 nights. The Coconut Lagoon is in a superb setting on the Vembanad Lake, surrounded by the tropical greens of rice paddies and coconut groves.

This uniquely designed ‘ Heritage resort’ is a recreation of a traditional Kerala village, and each of the wooden houses are original Kerala houses which have been brought from all over the state and carefully re-assembled by skilled craftsmen. One distinct feature of the Kerala houses is the bathrooms, which have an open courtyard, complete with banana tree looking up to the open skies! At the complex there is an Ayurvedic medicine centre. If you tire of lazing around the pool, you can hire a boat to take you around the backwaters, which were once the main transport routes in Kerala. There are plenty of other activities to keep you occupied during your stay, such as fishing, bird watching, canoeing or just exploring the countryside. In your programme we have included a trip to the bird sanctuary where you will be able to see some of the many species of birds which reside there and, in the evening, a cruise on the lake in a traditional rice boat to watch the spectacular sunset.

Day 02 -
Over night at Coconut Lagoon.

Day 03 -
After breakfast depart by boat to Spice Coast Jetty, followed by a transfer by road to Marari Beach Resort. Two days of bliss, relaxing by the huge swimming pool, strolling along the almost deserted beach, enjoying the efficient and friendly service, plus the culinary delights, what has proven to be our most popular beach resort in Kerala.
