What to Expect
Arrive in Delhi and transfer to Jaipur. After checking-in at the hotel in Jaipur, we begin our afternoon tour of this fascinating city, the capital of the desert state of Rajasthan, by driving past the City Palace, a former royal residence, which showcases a delightful blend of Mughal, and traditional Rajasthani architecture. It sprawls over 1/7 of the area in the walled city and now houses the City Palace Museum. The tour continues to Jantar Mantar, a 17th century observatory, and photography stop at the "Palace of the Winds", whose ornamental facade is a landmark in Jaipur. The pink sandstone structure is encrusted with fine trellis work and balconies which has niches and windows.
